Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kirby Molesworth (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Dexter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Molesworth might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Here comes the Boom-Nelly. Mark Dexter acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

30 - 26 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Mark Dexter! The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Dillan Fox and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Molesworth connects with a looping right hand.
It looks like Mark Dexter has been cut. A jab from Molesworth misses. Dexter fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Molesworth checks it well. Molesworth ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Dexter moves away. Molesworth lands a glancing blow to the side of Dexter's head. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Molesworth misses the shot to the body. Dexter moves away from the strike by Molesworth. Molesworth looks to land a right hand but Dexter moved out of range. Molesworth is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Dexter. Molesworth tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Dexter was well out of range. Poor timing from Molesworth. Kirby Molesworth seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Dexter slips a straight right by Molesworth. Dexter drives through with a takedown into guard. Dexter looks winded! Dexter throwing strikes from guard but Molesworth blocks nicely. Dexter has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Molesworth is looking to stand up but Dexter isn't so interested in that idea. Dexter tries to free his leg and advance position but Molesworth is retaining full guard. Molesworth is looking to stand up but Dexter isn't so interested in that idea.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dexter drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Molesworth manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Dexter has Molesworth in his guard. Molesworth missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Molesworth throws a big right hand that misses. Dexter utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Molesworth is working Dexter over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Dexter is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Dexter working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Molesworth doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Molesworth manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Molesworth postures up.
Molesworth lands a couple of digs.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Molesworth in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Molesworth's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Molesworth has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Molesworth keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Dexter's head. Molesworth distracts Dexter with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Molesworth's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Molesworth landing some decent shots from guard.
That has opened up Mark Dexter's cut even more. Dexter not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Molesworth scoring with some ground and pound. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Molesworth is in close to Dexter's body, working some short punches and elbows. Molesworth avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Molesworth postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Molesworth lands a couple of decent looking shots. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Molesworth's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
The cut above Mark Dexter's eye is starting to cause him problems now. Molesworth wants to get up but he can't break Dexter's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dexter escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Molesworth gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Molesworth landing with the ground and pound.
Dexter is rocked!
Mark Dexter's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Mark Dexter's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:36 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Kirby Molesworth! In his post fight interview, Kirby Molesworth started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
