Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Darrian Ashoka! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
16 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Michael Street! The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Yves DeLean and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice takedown defense from Street. No joy for Ashoka on that attempt. Street fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Ashoka is out of range. Ashoka throws a front kick aimed at Street's knee but Street avoids it well. Street uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Ashoka has time to react. Ashoka lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Street at a distance.
Ashoka throws out a leg kick but Street moves out of range and Ashoka only half commits. Ashoka fails to land the takedown. Ashoka tries for a takedown but Street sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Darrian Ashoka. That's going to take a lot out of him. Ashoka tries to score a power double leg takedown but Street sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Ashoka somewhat. Street paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Street tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Street throws out a loose jab but Ashoka uses good head movement to avoid it. Street shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Street was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Street tries to advance to mount but can't. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Street throwing shots but missing, from side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ashoka is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Street asserts his dominance and retains side control. Street in side control, throwing shots but Ashoka defends. Street tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Street prevents Ashoka from escaping the position. The strikes coming from Street are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Street wants to lay and pray for a moment but Ashoka keeps working. Street is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Ashoka has escaped the position, nice work there. Ashoka prevents Street from moving into mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Street is looking to take a break and control but Ashoka is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Street has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Ashoka striking from the bottom but nothing landed.
Street has knee on belly and moves into mount. Street lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Ashoka is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
Street looking to control but Ashoka is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Ashoka is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Street looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Street postures up and lands a whopping elbow - oh that's hurt Ashoka bigstyle! Two more strikes land for Street and the fight is over!
