Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dennis Reynolds!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Phil Miller!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Joseph Jones and Chad Campbell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Miller lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Miller darts in trying to clinch
and Reynolds counters with a good low kick that Miller was not able to check.
A right-left combo lands from Reynolds.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Miller closes the distance but Reynolds moves to the side
and Reynolds counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Reynolds is looking to slow Miller down with leg kicks.
Reynolds throws a right hand that Miller ducks under and follows up with a left that Miller also avoids with ease.
Reynolds circles away from the clinch attempt
and Reynolds counters with a slapping leg kick.
Reynolds throws a leg kick which misses Miller's front leg but catches the back leg as Miller tries to avoid it.
Miller darts in trying to clinch
and Miller takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Miller swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Miller backs away from a small jab... but Reynolds lunges forward with a huge superman punch! Miller crumples to the ground as his mouth piece is sent flying! Reynolds with a spectacular finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:17 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Superman Punch). Dennis Reynolds!
