Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mickey Felipe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Godley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Felipe comes to the cage accompanied by Ain't That A Kick In The Head. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Sam Margolis and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A nice inside leg kick there by Felipe. That's going to slow Godley down.
Felipe closes the distance and pushes Godley back into the cage.
Godley tries to pull guard but Felipe forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Felipe lands with a right to the head.
Felipe gets through Godley's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Felipe lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Felipe working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely.
A left hand lands to the body for Felipe.
Felipe lands a body punch in the clinch.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Felipe pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
Godley's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Felipe's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Godley chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Felipe can pounce on him.

Felipe shoots in for a takedown but Godley shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Godley takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Felipe shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Godley defends it nicely.
Felipe throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Godley.
Felipe scores with a takedown into Godley's guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Godley looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Felipe passes into side control.
Felipe misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Felipe cracks Godley with a big elbow.
Felipe will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Godley parries the strikes from Felipe easily there. Felipe is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Godley to escape.
Felipe is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
Felipe lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.

Felipe working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Felipe throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Godley is trying to improve his position.
Felipe lands a few punches from side control.
Felipe lands a strong strike to the head of Godley. That's dazed him! Felipe looking to finish here. Godley is waving his arms around trying to block but he's hurt badly - Felipe lands more strikes and the referee steps in to end the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mickey Felipe!
After winning the bout, Mickey Felipe thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
