Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ricardo Gaarlandt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roy McCoy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ricardo Gaarlandt! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Roy McCoy! The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Wagner Zegers and Paul Aken.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gaarlandt dives in and grabs McCoy's left leg, looking for a takedown. McCoy pushes down on Gaarlandt's head and hops out. Gaarlandt ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Gaarlandt closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. McCoy stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
McCoy manages to break the clinch.
Gaarlandt closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. McCoy is trying to get back to half guard. McCoy really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Gaarlandt. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. McCoy is trying to work for a sweep but Gaarlandt has mounted him! Gaarlandt punishing his opponent with strikes.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gaarlandt trying to control but he's not successful this time. Gaarlandt lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
McCoy is trying to escape the mount.
Gaarlandt trying to control but McCoy is having none of it. Gaarlandt is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. McCoy can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
That's two minutes gone in the round. McCoy tries to get back to half guard but can't. Gaarlandt raining down shots from the mount! McCoy is trying desperately to improve position. Gaarlandt is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. McCoy can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. McCoy is wriggling around trying to escape.
Gaarlandt looking to secure an arm triangle but McCoy defends it well. McCoy's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. McCoy tries to get back to half guard but can't. Gaarlandt trying to control but he's not successful this time. McCoy tries to lock up and control but Gaarlandt gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Gaarlandt landing strikes from the mount. Gaarlandt looking to finish McCoy with some ground and pound. This is bad for McCoy! Gaarlandt scoring with strikes but McCoy is staying in there. McCoy tries to hold on but Gaarlandt postures up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Gaarlandt dominating with strikes here. McCoy is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Gaarlandt with the ground and pound from mount. Gaarlandt tries to control but McCoy wriggling away. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if McCoy can do anything to dispel that myth. McCoy tries to hold on but Gaarlandt pushes him away. Gaarlandt pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. McCoy really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. McCoy reaches up and pulls Gaarlandt towards him, trying to control the position. Gaarlandt manages to get a guillotine from the mount though! This could be big trouble for McCoy! McCoy tries to roll over - now Gaarlandt is on the bottom but the guillotine is really deep and McCoy has to tap out! Great work there by Gaarlandt!
