Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jace Beleren (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tate Perkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jace Beleren! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tate Perkins! The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Reed Andrews and Bruno Lombardi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice sprawl there from Perkins as Beleren shoots in. Perkins gets caught flat footed, as Beleren shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Beleren sitting in guard here, content to control. Perkins trying to keep a closed guard but Beleren is proving a slippery customer.
Beleren stopping the sweep attempt from Perkins. Beleren is looking to work some ground and pound but Perkins has wrist control. Beleren postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Beleren trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Beleren has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
That's one minute gone in the round. Perkins wants to sweep here but Beleren controlling him for the moment. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Beleren accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Beleren gets a takedown into half guard. Perkins trying to hold on to Beleren's head to control him but Beleren postures up.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Beleren seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Perkins does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Beleren with the ground and pound but Perkins uses the opportunity to regain guard. Beleren postures up.
Beleren throws and elbow that misses. Perkins uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Beleren's guard. Nice move by Perkins! Beleren has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Beleren is breathing heavily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Perkins wants to stand but Beleren has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Perkins wants to control from the top but Beleren keeps moving. Beleren is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Beleren shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Perkins wants to hold on but Beleren pushes him away. Perkins is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position. Beleren throwing shots from mount but they're not landing. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Beleren has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Perkins's face.
Beleren can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Perkins is looking to escape. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Beleren throws a strike there. Perkins manages to avoid it well and slips a leg under to get to half guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Perkins moves in looking to clinch but Beleren pushes him off. Tate Perkins showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. And we move into the final round!

And that's the end of the fight! Tate Perkins comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Perkins has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
