Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Kyle Rad (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mamaw Ako (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rad comes to the cage accompanied by Liberation Frequency. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the bantamweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
11 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Kyle Rad! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Mamaw Ako! The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Anni Minnemäki and Marco Blurström.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ako circles away from the clinch attempt.
Ako misses with a combination
and Rad cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Ako with a hook. Rad throws out a loose jab but Ako uses good head movement to avoid it. Ako misses with a looping left. Ako ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. An inside leg kick from Ako misses. Rad tries to close the distance and clinch but Ako swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Ako misses with a few strikes there.
Rad slips a jab from Ako. Rad motions for Ako to come forward. Rad throws a leg kick but it misses it's target. A telegraphed right hand from Ako misses the target. Ako lands a nice looking body shot.
Rad moves away from the strike by Ako. Jab by Ako. Rad misses with a low kick as Ako jumps back. Rad fails in his attempt to clinch. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Rad is looking to clinch but Ako is avoiding it.
Rad buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

That's one minute gone in the round. Ako throws a series of strikes that have Rad backpedaling.
Rad is rocked! Rad ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Ako moves away. Oh Rad is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Ako moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Ako misses with a looping left. Rad has Ako up against the cage in a clinch.
Rad is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage. Good anti-grappling being displayed by Rad as Ako tries to tie him up. Rad seems to have got his legs back now. Ako's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Rad takes a shot to the head. Ako misses with a short punch on the inside. Ako breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Rad gets in close and instigates a clinch. Rad looking to slow down the pace here. Ako lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Rad backwards.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Both fighters working to control the clinch. Rad pulls guard effortlessly. Rad working a defensive guard here.
Ako engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Rad is looking to stand up but Ako isn't so interested in that idea. Rad manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

That's three minutes gone in the round. Rad seems to be working for a kimura but Ako defends the submission attempt. Ako is pressing down on Rad's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Ako avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Ako working a defensive guard but Rad manages to pass into side control anyway.
Ako being controlled for a moment. Rad creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Ako sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Ako is not content to let Rad control the position. Ako can't do much from the bottom here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rad wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Ako, who protects the arm well. Rad trying to control the position but Ako is working away. Ako is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Ako is looking for a sweep. Rad tries for a kimura but Ako is defending well. Rad tries to land with some ground and pound but misses. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Ako is not content to let Rad control the position. Ako can't do much from the bottom here. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Kyle Rad will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Ako sizes up Rad with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Ako ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Rad throws a nice inside leg kick. Mamaw Ako seems to be getting the better of the standup. Rad clinches with his opponent.
Ako blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Rad tries to pull guard but Ako won't allow it.
Rad looks to throw an elbow but misses. Rad can't find room to land a body shot as Ako controls the action.

Rad throws a punch but it's blocked by Ako. Rad looking to throw knees to the head but Ako is blocking nicely.

Rad lands a shoulder strike. Ako breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Ako lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Rad has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Rad and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Rad throws a lazy right hand but Ako sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Ako connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Rad is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Rad tries to close the distance and clinch up but Ako swats him away and circles back towards the center. Rad wants to clinch up but Ako keeps it at a distance. Ako is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.

Ako throws a low kick, looking for Rad's leg but Rad calmly moves out of range. Ako will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Ako swats away the attempt to clinch by Rad. Rad wants to clinch. Ako wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Ako lands a really nice looking cross but Rad seems unphased.

Rad on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Rad throws a head kick but Ako moves out of range.
Ako stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Ako moves out of range of the leg kick from Rad. Rad swings away with a leg kick that misses. Ako misses with a wild body shot. Ako connects with a right hand. Rad shakes it off. Rad showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Ako.
Rad throws a hook to the side of Ako's head but Ako sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Ako tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Rad was well out of range. Poor timing from Ako. Rad takes a body punch but keeps moving. Rad uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Ako. Ako connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Rad's hands. A big right from Ako misses.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ako missing with a left hand there. Rad was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. A jab from Ako misses. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Rad tries to clinch but Ako is having none of it. The fighters circle momentarily. Rad darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Ako tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. Ako throws a body kick that misses. Rad moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Rad tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Ako manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. A jab from Rad misses. Ako just misses with a punch to the body.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Ako throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Rad tries to clinch up but Ako circles away and keeps his distance. Rad darts in trying to clinch letting Ako counter with a right hand. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Mamaw Ako will probably get the nod - 10:9. That's time! Back to the action!
Rad walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Ako checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. Rad tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Ako paws at him with a jab and circles away. Ako motions for Rad to come forward. Ako throws a leg kick but it misses it's target. A big left from Ako misses. Rad lands a nice leg kick that just misses Ako's sensitive parts. Ako circles away from the clinch attempt.

Rad pushes Ako against the cage. Rad is working some dirty boxing. Rad pushes off with a quick right hook! Ako goes down! Ako tries to stand but stumbles back to his kness! Rad moves in to finish and the ref steps in to prevent any more damage!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kyle Rad! Kyle Rad retains his bantamweight title! Our winner, Kyle Rad, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
