Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Leon Souza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Khali Kumtomanee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Souza comes to the cage accompanied by i am #1. Kumtomanee has chosen Allah Allah Praise be Allah as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kumtomanee showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Souza.
Souza misses with a takedown attempt - Kumtomanee sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Kumtomanee is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Kumtomanee tries to clinch but Souza is having none of it.
Kumtomanee tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Souza manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Kumtomanee accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Kumtomanee is looking to work some ground and pound but Souza has wrist control.
Souza has his foot on Kumtomanee's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Kumtomanee works his way back into a safe position though.
Souza has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Kumtomanee can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Souza is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Kumtomanee postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

Souza is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Kumtomanee stands and throws Souza's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Kumtomanee in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.

Kumtomanee really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Souza. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Kumtomanee is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Souza is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Kumtomanee creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
Kumtomanee is looking to take a break and control but Souza is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Kumtomanee scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Souza to see if he's OK.
