Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.

With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Carl Johnson!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
St Pierre leaves Johnson with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Johnson is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
St Pierre is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

St Pierre looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
St Pierre is keen to just control but Johnson is a slippery customer.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Johnson can do anything to dispel that myth.
Johnson slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Johnson wants to sweep here but St Pierre controlling him for the moment.

Johnson kicks St Pierre off and gets to his feet.
St Pierre tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Johnson manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
St Pierre is looking to clinch but Johnson is avoiding it.

St Pierre blocks a punch to the side of the head.
St Pierre swings wildly with an uppercut but Johnson uses good head movement to avoid it.
St Pierre throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Johnson blocks it with crossed arms.
Johnson jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as St Pierre walks away with a smile on his face. Johnson gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

St Pierre shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Johnson is trying to defend but St Pierre finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

St Pierre looks to land a strike but Johnson avoids it nicely and regains full guard.
Johnson looking to hit a scissor sweep but St Pierre is one step ahead there.

Johnson is trying hard to land a takedown here. St Pierre sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
George St Pierre seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

St Pierre closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Johnson quickly recovers to half guard.

St Pierre wants to clinch

and Johnson counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in St Pierre's guard now.
Johnson lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
St Pierre wants to stand but Johnson is controlling the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Johnson is going oldschool here, as he tries to force St Pierre to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so St Pierre shrugs it off.
St Pierre throws a strike from the bottom but Johnson uses the opportunity to take his back.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Johnson has St Pierre flattened out and is raining down punches.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Carl Johnson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

George St Pierre is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
St Pierre shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Johnson pinned against the cage. Johnson gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

St Pierre is looking to clinch but Johnson is avoiding it.

St Pierre throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Carl Johnson hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
