Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Al Jerome (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Randy Skripplenorth (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jerome comes to the cage accompanied by Dance with the Devil-Immortal Technique. Skripplenorth has chosen Slayer - Raining Blood as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Randy Skripplenorth has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

4 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Randy Skripplenorth! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Skripplenorth decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Jerome is trying to control but can't.
Jerome manages to escape and get back to his feet! Jerome misses with a hook. Skripplenorth ducked under it nicely. Jerome stuffs the takedown. Al Jerome seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Jerome throws a nice looking combination but Skripplenorth bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Nice takedown defense from Jerome. No joy for Skripplenorth on that attempt. Jerome buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Skripplenorth looks gassed! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Skripplenorth has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Jerome finds it's way round the side to connect with Skripplenorth's head.

Al Jerome dominated that round. The cut man is working on Randy Skripplenorth's cut. That's time! Jerome's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Skripplenorth ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. The fight stays on the outside here - Jerome looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Nice straight punches there by Jerome. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Jerome. Skripplenorth misses with a takedown and Jerome counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Jerome fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Skripplenorth manages to avoid it. Skripplenorth takes a body punch but keeps moving. Skripplenorth is breathing heavily. This has been an exciting period of action! Jerome throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Jerome misses with a takedown and Skripplenorth counters with a single leg into guard. Jerome didn't expect that.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jerome is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a tringle but Skripplenorth frees his head nicely. Oh but Jerome has switched to an armbar! Skripplenorth is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
