Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ding Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Antonio Velazquez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ding Lee has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ding Lee! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Antonio Velazquez! The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Hirohito Nitta and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lee dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Velazquez. That did some damage! Lee fails with the takedown and Velazquez counters with a body kick. Velazquez misses with a jab to the body
and Lee counters with a series of strikes. Velazquez will be more careful next time no doubt. Lee has his takedown stuffed so Velazquez counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Lee is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Velazquez defends well. Velazquez avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Lee is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Velazquez is aware though and is defending well. Velazquez really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lee. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Lee looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Velazquez puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. Velazquez with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Lee tries to get to full guard but Velazquez has control of the leg. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Velazquez in particular looking to stall.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Antonio Velazquez. Velazquez throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
It looks like Ding Lee has been cut. Velazquez circles away from the clinch attempt and Velazquez counters with a lovely shot to the body. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Lee lands a nice hook to Velazquez's body. Velazquez takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Lee shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Velazquez defends it nicely. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ding Lee. That's going to take a lot out of him. Lee keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.

Lee scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Lee thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Velazquez is looking to reverse the position.

Velazquez feints and as Lee raises his hands in defense, Velazquez changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Lee working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Velazquez doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Velazquez manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Antonio Velazquez has got the better of the ground game so far. Velazquez is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Lee working a defensive guard here.

Velazquez is aware though and is defending well. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Velazquez slips nicely into half guard. The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Antonio Velazquez wasn't active enough on the ground. Lee moves out of range of the body kick. Lee fails to land the takedown. Ding Lee is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Lee looks to land a combination but Velazquez avoids it well. Lee misses with a takedown attempt and Velazquez counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Lee! Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lee trying to remain calm as Velazquez controls from the top position. Velazquez lands a decent elbow from side control. Velazquez moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Antonio Velazquez hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Velazquez looks for the body kick but Lee saw that one coming. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Lee ducks under a wild hook from Velazquez. Velazquez misses with a body shot
and Lee counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Antonio Velazquez showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Ding Lee's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Velazquez darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Velazquez connects with a nice short shot to Lee's temple. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Well, if Velazquez is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Antonio Velazquez has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Lee shoots and misses and Velazquez counters with a takedown into side control. Lee tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Velazquez wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Lee struggling a bit here. Velazquez controlling from side mount. Velazquez scoring with punches and elbows. Lee is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Velazquez asserts his dominance and retains side control.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Velazquez cracks Lee with an elbow. That is naaassty. Lee tries to escape but Velazquez is in control. Lee tries to get back to half guard but can't. Velazquez content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.

And that's the end of the fight! Antonio Velazquez comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Velazquez has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
