Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Aleksis Attila (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gavin Duff (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Aleksis Attila! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Gavin Duff! The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Roosa Järviläinen and Matti Vanhoillinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Attila tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Duff holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Attila tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Duff is trying to pull guard but Attila turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Duff breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Duff shoots in looking for a takedown. Attila tries to sprawl out of it but Duff keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Attila manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. The fight stays on the outside here - Duff looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Duff fails in his attempt to clinch. Duff throws a head kick that misses. Attila shoots in looking for a takedown. Duff tries to sprawl out of it but Attila keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Duff manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Attila closes the distance and clinches.
That's one minute gone in the round. Attila manages to break the clinch.
Duff dives in and scores a takedown into Attila's guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Duff engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Attila trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage. Attila looking to hit a scissor sweep but Duff is one step ahead there. Attila working for a triangle but Duff defends it easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Duff throws an elbow that misses. Attila uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Duff's guard. Nice move by Attila! Duff is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Duff had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Attila defends it easily. Attila is fighting to break Duff's control of his arms but Duff is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Attila trying to control but Duff is working from the bottom. Duff pulls Attila in close to his closed guard and prevents Attila from doing any damage or advancing position.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Aleksis Attila wasn't doing enough on the ground. Attila looks for a takedown but Duff sprawls well. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Aleksis Attila. That's going to take a lot out of him. Duff will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Attila closes the distance and clinches.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Duff fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Attila wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Duff pulls guard. Duff avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Attila won't allow Duff to sweep him here. Duff is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Attila wants to control from the top but Duff keeps moving. Duff looking to sweep here. No luck so far. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Attila stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Duff swivels though and keeps the full guard. Duff had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Attila defends it easily. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Gavin Duff dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Duff is looking to clinch. A solid leg kick lands there for Attila.
Duff fails with a takedown attempt. Duff takes a swing at Attila's ribcage but misses. Duff closes the distance and pushes Attila back into the cage. Duff breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Duff wants to clinch up but Attila keeps it at a distance. Duff shoots in looking for a takedown but Attila manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Duff's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Attila tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Duff paws at him with a jab and circles away. Attila dips to his left and cracks Duff with an uppercut!
That's one minute gone in the round. Attila fails with the takedown. Duff misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Aleksis Attila has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gavin Duff. Attila shoots in looking for a takedown but Duff manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Attila's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Duff gets tackled into the cage by Attila. Attila maintains the clinch. Attila has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Attila pulls guard successfully.
Attila wants to stand and escape but Duff is having none of it. Duff has gone for a leg lock! Attila slips out almost immediately though and dives into Duff's guard. Duff working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Attila doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Attila manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Duff looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Attila throws a big right hand that misses. Attila is looking to stand up but Duff won't let him. Attila tries to free his leg and advance position but Duff is retaining full guard. Attila wants to control from the top but Duff keeps moving. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Aleksis Attila wasn't doing enough on the ground. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Duff is defended easily by Attila. Attila doesn't manage to clinch there - Duff circles away.
A head kick from Attila lands but Duff takes it in his stride. Duff misses with a looping left. Duff changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Attila tries to avoid it but Duff manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Attila to the ground. Attila escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Duff takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Attila tries for a takedown but Duff sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Duff bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Attila is trying to get back to half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Duff scoring with punches from side control. Attila is looking to reverse the position. Duff controlling the position from side mount. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Duff has hold of Attila's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Attila seems comfortable defending it but Duff has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Attila is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Attila is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Duff couldn't care less - he's delighted!
