Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Soz Sztrova (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Craig David (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sztrova comes to the cage accompanied by In Flames - Delight and Anger. David has chosen The Who - Baba O'Riley as his entrance music. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Soz Sztrova!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 26 - 23 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Craig David!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Steven Brown and William Gold.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sztrova looks for a takedown but David sprawls well.
Sztrova shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and David counters with an outside leg kick.
David looks to throw a body kick
and Sztrova counters with a straight right hand.
David throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
David throws a low kick, looking for Sztrova's leg but Sztrova calmly moves out of range.
David throws a body punch but Sztrova moves out of range.
David throws a low kick but Sztrova avoids it.
David thumps Sztrova with a low kick.
David throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Sztrova walks into a straight right hand from David.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
David throws a lazy head kick

and Sztrova counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in David's guard now.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Sztrova wants to control from the top but David keeps moving.
David looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
David looking to hit a scissor sweep but Sztrova is one step ahead there.

David seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

David clinches with his opponent.
Sztrova tries for a takedown but David manages to get underhooks.

Sztrova has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. David is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
David using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Sztrova has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Sztrova is struggling to control the position.
Sztrova wants to break free but David has control.

David is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.

David's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Sztrova drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Sztrova tried to land a shot to the body but connects with David's elbow.

Craig David dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Sztrova wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by David, who protects the arm well.
David dodges the ground and pound from Sztrova.
You can see the frustration on David's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Sztrova is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. David doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Sztrova.
David makes his way to full guard. A much better position for David.

Craig David showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!


David throws a low kick but it's checked well by Sztrova.

David slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
David throws a right and a left that Sztrova avoids nicely.

David stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and David wants it to stay on the feet.
David throws a wild body kick that Sztrova sees coming a mile off.
Sztrova shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

The referee is keeping an eye on David - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

Sztrova is trying to drag David to the mat but David just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Sztrova is working for takedown but David is calmly controlling the position for now.

Sztrova has David pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Sztrova pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending David tumbling to the mat - Sztrova dives into David's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Sztrova wants to control from the top but David keeps moving.
David pulls Sztrova in close to prevent any damage.
David looking to hit a scissor sweep but Sztrova is one step ahead there.

Sztrova got a little sloppy there for a moment and David has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Sztrova has managed to get both his arms back between David's legs - danger averted.

Sztrova stands up over David, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
David wants to stand and escape but Sztrova is having none of it.

David not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
David is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Craig David comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well David has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
