With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, James Winstanley!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, James Atkins and Colin Fotheringham.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bakkal scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Winstanley chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Bakkal can pounce on him.
Bakkal bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Winstanley's head.
Bakkal looks to land a body kick but Winstanley moved away.
Winstanley shoots in for a takedown but Bakkal shows good takedown defense.
Winstanley tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Erdal Bakkal seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bakkal connects with a jab.

Winstanley scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Winstanley is pressing down on Bakkal's thigh, looking to free his foot. Bakkal is holding on for now.
Winstanley lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Bakkal is trying to get back to full guard.

Winstanley looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Let's hope that Winstanley has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

OK we're going to have a standup here. James Winstanley hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Winstanley drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Bakkal is trying to work for a sweep but Winstanley has mounted him!
Bakkal has given up his back. Will we see Winstanley going for some submissions?
Winstanley has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Bakkal's body.
Bakkal knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Winstanley on the ground.

Winstanley's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bakkal is really stuck here.

Bakkal trying to control the hands but Winstanley won't let him.
You can see the frustration on Bakkal's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Winstanley punishes Bakkal with strikes from the back mount.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Winstanley is working for the choke. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged Bakkal with him. Bakkal is trying to defend but Winstanley has an arm under the chin now! Bakkal grimaces and is forced to tap out!
