The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Schillaci shoots in looking for a takedown. Williams tries to sprawl out of it but Schillaci keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Williams manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Williams tries to clinch but Schillaci is having none of it.
Williams doesn't manage to clinch there - Schillaci circles away.
Schillaci doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Williams counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Williams scores with a sloppy right hand. Schillaci should have avoided that one.
Williams lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

Schillaci lands a high kick to the side of Williams's head that stuns him and send him tumbling down to the canvas! Schillaci dives into guard, looking to finish.

It looks like Boogie Williams has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Williams is rocked!
Schillaci gets to his feet and stands over Williams, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Williams felt that one! Schillaci unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Williams from any more punishment!
