The bell rings for round one and we are underway! River shoots in and drives through. Cruz sprawls well. Joey Cruz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Cruz looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! River has managed to clinch.
River manages to break the clinch.
River moves into the clinch. River utilising his Muay Thai to score with a knee to the body. River's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. River really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. River uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
