Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Anton Chekhov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Dong Yung Park!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chekhov connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Horrible takedown by Park or perhaps it was just good defense by Chekhov which made him look bad.
Chekhov is looking to slow Park down with leg kicks.
Chekhov scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Chekhov lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Park fails with the takedown
enabling Chekhov to counter with a crisp jab.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Chekhov bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Chekhov thumps Park with a low kick.
Park shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Chekhov connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Anton Chekhov has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dong Yung Park.
Chekhov lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.

Chekhov gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Chekhov manages to break the clinch.
Chekhov throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

Chekhov moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Park changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Chekhov tries to avoid it but Park manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Chekhov to the ground. Chekhov escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Park shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Chekhov as he jumps to the side.
Chekhov feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Parks jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Chekhov's corner calls for a 1-2. Chekhov obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Nice uppercut lands for Chekhov. That snapped Park's head back.
Park doesn't succeed with the takedown
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Anton Chekhov is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Chekhov getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Chekhov scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Chekhov throws a nice outside leg kick.
Park has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Chekhov.

Chekhov lands a body shot.
A slapping body kick lands there for Chekhov.
Park looks winded!
A nice combination there by Chekhov.
Chekhov cracks Park with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.


Park is rocked!
Donk. Chekhov catches Park right on the button with a cross.
Park is still on wobbly legs! Can Chekhov finish him?
Chekhov scores with a jab to the body.
Chekhov plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!

Chekhov has Park up against the cage in a clinch.
Park wants a takedown.
Chekhov works on Park's body with a couple of short punches.
Park seems to have recovered his senses.
Park is looking for a takedown.
Chekhov working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely.
Park is trying desperately to land a takedown but Chekhov is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Park.
Park is working for takedown but Chekhov is calmly controlling the position for now.

Chekhov manages to break the clinch.
Chekhov lets loose with a powerful body kick. Park will feel that in the morning.

Nice body kick there by Chekhov.

Chekhov drives through and clinches with Park against the cage.
Still in the clinch, Chekhov scores with a nice short uppercut.
A right hook to the body lands for Chekhov.
Chekhov lands a left hand.
Chekhov lands a hook to the side of the head.
Chekhov is pushing Park up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
Chekhov lands a body shot in the clinch.
Chekhov softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.
Park tries for a takedown. No joy.
A body shot lands from Chekhov.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Chekhov prevents the takedown attempt.
Chekhov makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Chekhov stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.

Chekhov escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Chekhov lands a big head kick that sends Park tumbling to the mat! Chekhov takes a step backwards and waves Park back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Chekhov lets loose with a powerful body kick. Park will feel that in the morning.
Whack! Chekhov lands a heavy head kick that drops Park. The ref tackles Chekhov to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Park was done.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:17 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Head Kick). Anton Chekhov!
A relieved looking Anton Chekhov thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
