Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Steven Stepp (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jin Kim (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 6 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Steven Stepp!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 22 - 28 - 2, fighting out of Helsinki, Jin Kim!
The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Matti Vanhoillinen and Johanna Lukiainen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kim darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Kim stops Stepp from getting back to his feet.
Kim trying to mount his opponent but Stepp defends it.
Stepp keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Stepp wants to get back to his feet.
Stepp is trying to get back to full guard.

Kim is working for a submission of some sort.
Kim tries to pass the half guard into mount. Stepp knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Stepp looks like he's trying to stand up.
Stepp wants to improve his position but Kim is controlling well.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Kim looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Stepp is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Kim's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Kim's back!
Stepp missing with strikes.
Stepp is throwing shots to the body but Kim manages to wriggle free. Stepp pounces on him again and ends up in Kim's guard.
Stepp throwing strikes but missing.
Stepp postures up in Kim's guard and throws a big left but Kim blocks it.
Stepp landing with the ground and pound.
Stepp is working Kim over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Stepp trying to control the position from guard on top but Kim is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Stepp throws an elbow that misses. Kim uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Stepp's guard. Nice move by Kim!
Kim postures up.
Kim passes easily into side control. Nice work.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Stepp is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
Kim trying to control the action but Stepp is working from the bottom.
Stepp is looking for a sweep.
Kim trying to control the position but Stepp is working away.
Stepp tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Kim wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Kim cracks Stepp with a big elbow.
Stepp is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Kim asserts his dominance and retains side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Stepp takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.

Kim is trying to get an arm triangle but Stepp is defending well.
Stepp is trying to control Kim's posture but Kim avoids it.
Stepp tries to buck Kim off but Kim is having none of it.
Kim working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.

Kim looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Stepp is looking for a sweep.

Stepp wants to get back to his feet but Kim drags him back down.
Stepp tries to buck Kim off but Kim is having none of it.
Kim wants to lay and pray for a moment but Stepp keeps working.
Stepp is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Kim off and has taken his back!
Stepp struggling to land strikes to the head as Kim covers up.
Stepp throwing lazy shots from the back mount that aren't doing any damage.
Stepp scores with punches to the body.
Stepp lands a punch to the side of the head from the back.
Kim grimaces as he takes a shot to the body.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Stepp throws a big right hand but he misses and hits the mat. Ouch.
Kim is trying to get back to his feet but Stepp has full control of the position and if anything, Kim has just worked his way into a worse spot.
Stepp is landing with strikes from the back.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kim fails with a takedown attempt.
Stepp lands a jab to the head.
Stepp stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Stepp wants it to stay on the feet.
Stepp misses the jab.

Kim shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Stepp is looking for a sweep. Kim is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Kim is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Steven Stepp overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Stepp has a hand on Kim's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Kim takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!

Stepp tries to reverse the position but Kim maintains control.
Kim wants to control the pace but Stepp is squirming around nicely.
Kim landing strikes from the mount and Stepp is in trouble!
BOOM! Kim connects with a massive shot to the dome!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Stepp is wriggling around trying to escape.

Stepp regains half guard.
Kim stops Stepp from getting back to his feet.
Kim wants to pass the guard but Stepp is defending well.
Stepp wants to get back to full guard but Kim has passed into side control.
Kim lands some shots froms side control.
Kim wants to lay and pray for a moment but Stepp keeps working.
Kim advances nicely into full mount.
BOOM! Kim connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Kim has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Kim pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

Kim jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Stepp manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Stepp is looking to reverse the position.

Stepp is working to avoid the ground and pound but Kim connects with a decent elbow.
Stepp pushes Kim away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Kim gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Kim has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Stepp!

Stepp is looking to get to half guard.
Stepp is squirming around, avoiding Kim's attempts to control the action.
Stepp is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
Kim lands a big elbow.

Stepp is trying desperately to improve position.
Kim has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Stepp's face.
Kim wants to control the pace but Stepp is squirming around nicely.
Stepp is working to get back to half guard.
Stepp is working hard here to advance position.

Kim jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Stepp is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Stepp and Kim has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Stepp tries to improve position but can't.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Kim is looking to take a break and control but Stepp is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Stepp is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Kim is one step ahead and moves to full mount!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jin Kim showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!



Stepp gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Kim lands a takedown into guard.
Kim stopping the sweep attempt from Stepp.
Kim won't allow Stepp to get back to his feet.
Kim postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Stepp throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
Stepp is looking to stand up but Kim isn't so interested in that idea.
Kim is in close to Stepp's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Stepp wants to stand and escape but Kim is having none of it.
Stepp is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Kim lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

Kim stands and throws Stepp's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Stepp is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Kim has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Kim moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.
Kim scores with punches from side control.
Kim is looking to take a break and control but Stepp is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Kim passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Stepp!
Kim looking to control but Stepp is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Kim scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Stepp?
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Stepp is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.

Stepp is desperately trying to improve his position but Kim has a good base and remains in mount.
Kim has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Stepp's face.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Kim cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Kim is landing with some decent strikes but Stepp is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Stepp can't escape the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kim landing strikes, looking to finish!
Kim lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.


Stepp is rocked!
Whack. That's a big, big shot from Kim! Stepp is out cold! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:54 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Jin Kim!
