Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dan Kessler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jay Gordan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dan Kessler looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dan Kessler! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jay Gordan! The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Russell Pearce and Alyssa Summers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gordan avoids a punch combination nicely.
Kessler drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Gordan wants to control but Kessler postures up. Gordan parries the strikes from Kessler easily there. Kessler is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Gordan to escape.
Kessler knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Gordan on the ground. Kessler working away. Kessler misses with an attempted head punch from side control. Gordan wants to control but Kessler postures up. Gordan is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Kessler is staying active.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Some wild striking there from Gordan.
Gordan throws a leg kick which misses Kessler's front leg but catches the back leg as Kessler tries to avoid it. Dan Kessler seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gordan misses with a combination
and Kessler counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Kessler. Kessler stalling.
Gordan can't get the takedown.
Kessler jumps guard but Gordan stands there with Kessler around his waist. Kessler gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Kessler breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Kessler shoots in for a takedown but Gordan shows good takedown defense. Jay Gordan is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Kessler is breathing heavily. The fight stays on the outside here - Kessler looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Kessler tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Gordan paws at him with a jab and circles away. Gordan clobbers Kessler with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Gordan drops Kessler with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Kessler! Gordan dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jay Gordan!
