Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mark Wilcox (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Haven Tyson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wilcox comes to the cage accompanied by Low Man's Lyric by Metallica. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Haven Tyson! The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Franklyn Lucas and John Roberts.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Horrible takedown by Wilcox or perhaps it was just good defense by Tyson which made him look bad. Wilcox will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Wilcox closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Wilcox lands in his opponent's guard. Tyson wants to sweep here but Wilcox controlling him for the moment. Wilcox controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Tyson working a defensive guard here.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Wilcox changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Tyson looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Tyson manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Tyson trying to mount his opponent but Wilcox defends it. Wilcox is not content to let Tyson control the position. Tyson tries to pass to full mount but Wilcox defends it. Tyson seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wilcox tries to kick Tyson off but Tyson keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Tyson is looking for a kimura but Wilcox is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Tyson to get the leverage. Tyson looks gassed! Wilcox is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Wilcox looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Tyson is fending him off so far but Wilcox persists. Nope, Tyson circles away and we're back to standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mark Wilcox. That's going to take a lot out of him. Wilcox drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Wilcox scores with a couple of short elbows. Wilcox stands up. Tyson avoids the head kick by Wilcox.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Tyson fails with the takedown and Wilcox counters with a nice body shot. Wilcox with a poor takedown and Tyson counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Wilcox! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Wilcox sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Wilcox flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Tyson is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Tyson takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Wilcox tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Tyson with a poor takedown and Wilcox counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Tyson drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Wilcox gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Wilcox tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Tyson smiles and moves away.

That's one minute gone in the round. Wilcox pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Tyson is keeping the position for now. Wilcox trying to control the position from guard on top but Tyson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Wilcox looking to pass the guard. Wilcox is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Tyson is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Wilcox sitting in guard here, content to control. Tyson keeping moving, preventing Wilcox from controlling successfully.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Wilcox shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Tyson counters by clinching up. Tyson has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Wilcox is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Mark Wilcox has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Haven Tyson.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wilcox tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Tyson just stands there and leans against the cage. Wilcox successfully pulls guard.
Wilcox pushes Tyson off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there. Mark Wilcox seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Wilcox is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Wilcox throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Wilcox shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Wilcox looking to isolate an arm here. Tyson doesn't see it coming and as Wilcox extends the arm, he's forced to tap out! Nice submission by Wilcox!
