Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 18 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Boy Bubby!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 23 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Hilo, Sergiy Sklyar!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Richard Clark and James Atkins.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A shot to the liver by Sklyar. Beautiful body shot.
Bubby takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Sklyar tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Bubby was well out of range. Poor timing from Sklyar.

Sklyar shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Bubby is trying to defend but Sklyar finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Sklyar misses with a head shot. Bubby uses the momentum to regain guard.
Sklyar postures up and lands a big shot to Bubby's brow.

Sklyar stands up over Bubby, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Bubby bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Sklyar's guard.
Sklyar wants to sweep here but Bubby controlling him for the moment.

Bubby wants to pass the guard but Sklyar is keeping the position.
Bubby is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Sklyar pulls Bubby in close to prevent any damage.

Bubby wants to control from the top but Sklyar keeps moving.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Bubby tries to score a power double leg takedown but Sklyar sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Bubby somewhat.
Bubby takes a swing at Sklyar's ribcage but misses.

Bubby's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Sklyar connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Bubby scrambles back to his feet.
Sklyar uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Bubby has time to react.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Sklyar shoots in for a takedown but Bubby shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
A nice leg kick lands there from Sklyar.
A jab lands there for Sklyar.

Sklyar misses with a takedown attempt - Bubby sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Boy Bubby has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sergiy Sklyar.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Bubby is trying to improve his position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Sklyar postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

Sklyar creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Bubby sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Sklyar. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

He's trying desperately to grab hold of Sklyar around the waist but Sklyar pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Sklyar is the winner by TKO! Sklyar jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"
