Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Pedro Romero! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Max Payne! The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Steve Montenegro and Jonathan Paton.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Romero closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Romero is looking to break free of the clinch but Payne has double underhooks. Romero has Payne pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Payne manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Payne is looking to break free of the clinch but Romero has double underhooks. Romero lands a nice shot to the body.
Payne breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Romero fails in his attempt to clinch. Romero tries to clinch but Payne is having none of it.
Romero moves into range and clinches up with Payne. A head punch on the inside from Romero fails to land. Nice body punch from Romero - that landed with a thud.
Romero manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Romero lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Payne manages to break the clinch.
Romero cracks a nice hook into Payne's ribs. Romero shoots in looking for a takedown. Payne tries to sprawl out of it but Romero keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Payne manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Payne keeps the fight on the outside.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Romero tries to close the distance and clinch but Payne swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Romero throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Payne. Romero looks to land a combination. Payne sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Pedro Romero seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Romero is looking to clinch but Payne is avoiding it.
Romero has taken the fight to the clinch.
Payne wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Payne breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Payne avoids a punch combination nicely.
Romero throws a series of punches but Payne moves out of range.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Romero shoots in and drives through. Payne sprawls well. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Pedro Romero. That's going to take a lot out of him. Romero fails with an attempt to clinch.
Romero misses with a jab, cross combination.
Payne lands with a nice body punch. Romero is breathing heavily. Payne drops Romero with a straight right hand, right on the button! Payne follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Max Payne!
