Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Stanley Burrell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anthony Hopkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Burrell might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Can't Touch This. Anthony Hopkins has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Anthony Hopkins!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Wesley Smith and Alan Glass.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hopkins tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Burrell paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Burrell gets caught flat footed, as Hopkins shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Burrell has a hand on Hopkins's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Hopkins takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Burrell has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Hopkins is working away from the top position though.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Hopkins tries to score a power double leg takedown but Burrell sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Hopkins somewhat.

The fight stays on the outside here - Hopkins looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Hopkins shoots in looking for a takedown. Burrell tries to sprawl out of it but Hopkins keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Burrell manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Hopkins bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Hopkins changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Burrell tries to avoid it but Hopkins manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Burrell to the ground. Burrell escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

and Burrell makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
