Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mordecai Wollsey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jimmy Brit (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brit has chosen Same in the End as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
20 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Mordecai Wollsey! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
12 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Jimmy Brit! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wollsey scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Brit doesn't seem bothered though. Wollsey has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Wollsey there as he acknowledges the shot. Wollsey displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Brit throws out the jab. Wollsey throws a hook but Brit avoids it easily. Brit takes a jab right on the kisser.
Wollsey lands a nice looking body kick. Wollsey takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Brit with a poor takedown and Wollsey counters with a body kick. Wollsey moves out of range as Brit strikes. Brit checks a leg kick. Brit on the wrong end of a nice hook. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Brit misses with a hook. Brit has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Wollsey. Brit connects with a leg kick. Wollsey looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. Wollsey fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Brit has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Wollsey misses with a straight left. Wollsey throws the kick towards the body but Brit avoids it. Mordecai Wollsey seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wollsey throws a mid kick that lands with a slap. Wollsey dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Brit. That did some damage! Brit tests Wollsey's chin there with a solid looking shot. Wollsey throws a body punch but Brit moves out of range. Brit fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Wollsey manages to avoid it. Brit looks to score with a jab to the body but Wollsey is just out of range. Brit throws a looping overhand right but Wollsey ducks down to avoid it. Wollsey on the wrong end of a nice hook. Wollsey lands with a good body shot. Wollsey pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Brit buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Wollsey slaps away a takedown attempt from Brit, before circling back to the center of the mat. Wollsey avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Brit throws a body punch but Wollsey moves out of range. Wollsey lands a jab to Brit's midsection. Decent striking displayed by Brit there. Brit slips under a jab. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Wollsey walks forward, straight into a front kick from Brit. A big right from Brit misses. Wollsey tries a low kick but Brit avoids it. Wollsey misses with a body kick. Wollsey uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Brit's corner calls for a 1-2. Brit obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Brit throws a leg kick and Wollsey counters with an outside leg kick.

and Wollsey makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. Wollsey thumps Brit with a low kick.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wollsey lands a nice leg kick that just misses Brit's sensitive parts. Wollsey wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Brit fails with a takedown attempt. Wollsey throws a body kick that misses. Wollsey cracks a nice hook into Brit's ribs. Wollsey showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Brit.
Good exchange - Wollsey coming out on top. Wollsey thuds a left hand into Brit's body. A big right from Wollsey misses. Brit lets loose with a powerful body kick. Wollsey will feel that in the morning. Brit looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Brit does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Brit walks into a straight right hand from Wollsey. Brit avoids the head kick by Wollsey.
Brit moves out of range of the strikes. A looping hook to the body misses from Wollsey. Brit does a little dance to reset his feet. Wollsey takes one to the side of the head.

Wollsey throws a shot from downtown. Brit moves away and avoids it. Brit lands with a shot to the body. Brit misses with an uppercut. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Wollsey's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Brit connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Wollsey scrambles back to his feet. Brit throws a jab but it's blocked by Wollsey. Wollsey lets loose with a powerful body kick. Brit will feel that in the morning. Wollsey throws a lazy right hand but Brit sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Mordecai Wollsey will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Wollsey comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Wollsey lands with a hook. Brit tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Wollsey checks a low kick from Brit. A cross from Brit lands. Wollsey gets the takedown into side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Brit tries to buck Wollsey off but Wollsey is having none of it. Brit regains half guard. Wollsey is looking to advance position but Brit won't allow it. Brit keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Brit trying to hold on to Wollsey's head to control him but Wollsey postures up.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Wollsey lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Brit at a distance.
Wollsey throws a jab but it's blocked by Brit. Brit connects with a crisp jab. Brit tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Brit takes one to the side of the head.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Brit takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Wollsey closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Wollsey perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. This has been an exciting period of action! Wollsey looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Brit wants to improve his position but Wollsey is controlling well.
Wollsey is looking to take a break and control but Brit is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Wollsey is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Brit! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Brit tries to get back to half guard but can't. Wollsey controlling from mount.
And that's the end of the fight! Mordecai Wollsey showed his dominance in that final round. Well Wollsey has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
