Melton Sr comes into the arena with Kanye West - All Of The Lights blaring out of the sound system. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

16 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jase Robertson! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Daniel Franklin and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Robertson connects with a looping right hand.
It looks like Michael Melton Sr has been cut. Melton Sr takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Robertson misses with a left hand and Melton Sr counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Melton Sr. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Melton Sr trying to control but Robertson is working from the bottom. Melton Sr wants to pass the guard but Robertson is keeping the position. Melton Sr trying to control but Robertson is working from the bottom. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Robertson is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Melton Sr pushing down on Robertson's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Melton Sr has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Robertson is controlling Melton Sr's position as best he can from this difficult position.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Melton Sr shoots for a double leg takedown but Robertson sprawls well. He's pushed Melton Sr's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Robertson throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Robertson tries a head kick but it misses.
Robertson throws a push kick but Melton Sr slaps the foot to one side. Robertson throws a leg kick which misses Melton Sr's front leg but catches the back leg as Melton Sr tries to avoid it. Robertson takes a shot right to the bread basket.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Melton Sr takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Robertson digs a good body shot into Melton Sr's ribs. Some wild striking there from Robertson.

Melton Sr fails to land with a series of punches.
Robertson bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Robertson connects with a body shot that sends Melton Sr's belly button to the back. Robertson throws a leg kick but Melton Sr sees it coming and checks it nicely. Robertson cracks Melton Sr with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Robertson throws a head kick but Melton Sr moves out of range.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Robertson throws a body kick despite being completely out of range and Melton Sr counters with a nice double leg into guard. Melton Sr passes easily into side control. Nice work. Robertson defending against the ground and pound. Robertson tries to bench press Melton Sr off him but Melton Sr keeps the position. Melton Sr throws an elbow but Robertson slips to the side and avoids it well. Robertson is looking for a sweep. Robertson takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Melton Sr tries to score with some ground and pound. Robertson controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. Robertson is looking to reverse the position. Melton Sr misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Melton Sr controlling the position from side mount. Robertson holds on tight, trying to prevent any damage. Robertson taking punishment in the form of punches.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Melton Sr advances nicely into full mount. Melton Sr is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Robertson has managed to escape the submission attempt.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Robertson is squirming around, avoiding Melton Sr's attempts to control the action. Robertson sizes up Melton Sr with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Robertson gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Melton Sr to score an easy takedown into full guard. Robertson is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Melton Sr wants to improve his position but Robertson is controlling well.
