Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jason Spezza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jake Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jason Spezza is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jason Spezza! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jake Smith! The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Steve Smith and William Peck.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight moves into the clinch position. The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Smith takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Smith has had enough of the clinch but Spezza keeps him there for the moment. Both guys are working to get underhooks. Smith stalling the fight.
Spezza wants to stall.
Smith breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
A big right from Spezza misses. Spezza misses with a looping right. Smith tries to score a power double leg takedown but Spezza sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Smith somewhat. Spezza gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Smith. A big left from Spezza misses. Spezza showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Smith.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Smith shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Spezza defends it nicely. Smith will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Jason Spezza has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jake Smith. Spezza avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

It looks like Jake Smith has been cut. Smith fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Smith throws a combination that misses and Spezza counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Smith misses with a few strikes there.
Spezza uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Smith has time to react. Spezza pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Smith uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Spezza. Spezza jabbing away but nothing is landing. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Spezza fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Smith manages to avoid it. Smith misses with a head kick.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Smith tries to score a power double leg takedown but Spezza sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Smith somewhat. Spezza misses with a straight left. Smith gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Spezza misses with a body kick. Smith ducks under a wild hook from Spezza. Smith gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Spezza counters with a nice leg kick.
Smith shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Spezza is trying to defend but Smith finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Smith uses his free foot to push down on Spezza's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Spezza. Smith lands a nice shot to the head.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Spezza tries to lock up and control but Smith gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Smith throws a strike there. Spezza manages to avoid it well and slips a leg under to get to half guard.
Smith is trying to work for a kimura but Spezza is defending well.
Spezza makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Spezza. Spezza is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Smith is looking for a sweep. Spezza is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Smith is refusing to be controlled, as Spezza sits in half guard.
 That's four minutes gone in the round.
Spezza is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Smith is just riding it out for now. Spezza eventually gives up the hold. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Spezza is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Smith is looking to control Spezza's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Smith avoid being mounted? And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Jason Spezza will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Jake Smith's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Spezza lands a nice shot that snaps Smith's head back.

Spezza pushes Smith away with a front kick. Spezza misses with a looping left.
Spezza gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Smith throws a big elbow that misses. Smith is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Smith throws a strike but Spezza rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Spezza trying to control but Smith is working from the bottom.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Smith tries to land a sweep but no joy. Smith is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Spezza wants to pass the guard but Smith is keeping the position. Smith trying to keep a closed guard but Spezza is proving a slippery customer.

 Jason Spezza has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Spezza avoids the head kick by Smith.
Nice defenses there by Smith. Spezza throws a hook but Smith avoids it easily. Smith uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Spezza. Smith fails to land with a series of punches.

Smith throws a sloppy head kick and Spezza moves out of range easily. Smith takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Smith shoots in but Spezza avoids the takedown attempt easily. Smith changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Spezza tries to avoid it but Smith manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Spezza to the ground. Spezza escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Jason Spezza has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jake Smith. Smith wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Nice uppercut there from Spezza. Smith rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Spezza moves out of range and avoids them all easily. A combination from Smith does no damage. Smith gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Spezza. Smith shoots in for a takedown but Spezza shows good takedown defense. Jason Spezza is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Spezza blocks a jab. A looping hook to the body misses from Spezza. Smith does a little dance to reset his feet. Smith jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Spezza lands a left and a right that send Smith crashing to the mat, dazed. Spezza thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Smith shoots in looking for a takedown. Spezza tries to sprawl out of it but Smith keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Spezza manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Smith is breathing heavily. Smith ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Smith has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Smith there as he acknowledges the shot.
Smith scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Spezza is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Smith throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Spezza moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Smith is in close to Spezza's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Smith wants to control from the top but Spezza keeps moving. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jason Spezza dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Jake Smith's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!
Smith tries to bum rush Spezza with a series of wild strikes but Spezza uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Smith lands a right hook to the body.

Jake Smith is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Spezza throws the left hand but Smith avoids the punch easily. Smith lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Spezza circles away quickly and effectively. Spezza looks to land a combination. Smith sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Smith throws a right and a left that both miss. Spezza throws the left hand but Smith avoids the punch easily. Smith takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Smith throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Smith is looking to clinch.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Smith fails with the takedown. Smith lands with a cross. Spezza cracks Smith with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Smith is trying hard to land a takedown here. Spezza sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Smith takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Smith misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Spezza scores with a jab to the jaw. Smith will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Jason Spezza has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jake Smith. Spezza throws a shot from downtown. Smith moves away and avoids it. Spezza misses with a low kick. Smith tries to close the distance and clinch up but Spezza swats him away and circles back towards the center. Spezza jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Smith lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Spezza has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Spezza and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Smith uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Spezza.
Smith moves out of range of the strikes. Jake Smith has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Smith seems to be working for a kimura but Spezza defends the submission attempt. Spezza moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Spezza looking for a sweep. Not yet Spezza, not yet.

Smith advances to half guard. Spezza is looking for a sweep. Smith is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Smith has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Spezza is staying active underneath Smith, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Spezza avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Smith. Smith is trying to control the action in half guard but Spezza is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Spezza is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Smith throws a strike but Spezza avoids it easily and moves to full guard. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:57 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Jason Spezza! Jason Spezza tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
