Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, William Peck and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marshall throws a sloppy head kick and Lauzon moves out of range easily.
Lauzon closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Lauzon tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Marshall misses with a series of wild punches.

and Lauzon connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Joe Lauzon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Marshall gets a double leg takedown into Lauzon's guard.
Marshall will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Lauzon is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Marshall defends well.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Lauzon throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.

Marshall really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Marshall tries to free his leg and advance position but Lauzon is retaining full guard.

Lauzon slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Lauzon fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Marshall sprawls well initially but Lauzon persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Lauzon seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Marshall is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!

Joe Lauzon decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
