Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Joe Hollis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sam Shield (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hollis comes into the arena with UGK - Pocket Full of Stones blaring out of the sound system. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Hollis breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Shield shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Hollis eats them both and turns towards Shield to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Shield's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Shield tries to bum rush Hollis with a series of wild strikes but Hollis uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Hollis wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Shield swings for the body but Hollis moves out of range.
Shield jabs Hollis to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Shield is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Hollis rather than just go for the knockout.
Shield takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Shield misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Hollis dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Hollis throws a right and a left that both miss.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Hollis scores with a one two! Shield had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Shield takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Shield uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Hollis.
