Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Gim Ruut (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paul Vims (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ruut kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Stranglehold - Ted Nugent. Gim Ruut could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Paul Vims's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
20 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Gim Ruut! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Paul Vims! The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Mauricio Rocha and Matheus Silva.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ruut rushes Vims and presses him up against the cage. Vims gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Ruut.
Vims displaying some good clinch control by pressing Ruut up against the cage. Ruut changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Vims fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Ruut feints and as Vims raises his hands in defense, Ruut changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Ruut is fighting to break Vims's control of his arms but Vims is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Ruut wants to control from the top but Vims keeps moving. Ruut drops back, looking for a kneebar! Vims looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Vims looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Vims!
That's one minute gone in the round. Vims wants to stand but Ruut is controlling his arm. Ruut tries to buck Vims off but Vims is having none of it. Vims staying calm. Ruut tries to improve position but can't. Ruut gets back to half guard. Ruut looking for submissions off his back. Ruut is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Vims pulls his head out easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ruut wants to get back to full guard. Ruut looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Vims trying to control from half guard but Ruut is working away. Ruut flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Vims tries to stand but can't do so whilst Ruut controls his leg. Ruut moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ruut pushes a forearm under Vims's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Vims is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
