Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
16 - 28 - 1, fighting out of London, Billy Riley! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
17 - 22 - 3, fighting out of Montreal, Sam Miguel! The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Dillan Fox and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! No luck for Riley with that takedown attempt. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Miguel looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Riley scores with a takedown into Miguel's guard. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Riley loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Miguel wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Riley stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Miguel swivels though and keeps the full guard. Riley throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Miguel works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Riley landing with the ground and pound. Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Riley pushes Miguel up against the cage in a clinch. Riley tries to work over Miguel's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Riley tries a body shot but Miguel blocks it.

Riley has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Miguel is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Miguel wants the takedown. Riley is fighting it off but Miguel persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Riley's guard against the cage. Riley is trying to hold Miguel in close to prevent damage but Miguel has managed to pass into half guard.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Riley is on top in guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Riley wants to control from the top but Miguel keeps moving. Riley works a leg free and moves into half guard. Riley wants to get back to his feet.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Riley is looking for a kimura but Miguel is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Riley to get the leverage. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Riley trying to control from half guard but Miguel is working away. Riley scoring with strikes to the body and head. Riley is working for a submission of some sort.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Miguel wants to get back to full guard. Miguel has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Riley is working away from the top position though. Riley lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Billy Riley dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Miguel keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Riley lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

Nice strikes from Riley there. Riley is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Riley uses his free foot to push down on Miguel's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Miguel.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Riley is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Miguel is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Miguel flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Riley anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Miguel and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Riley slips an arm under Miguel chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Riley has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Riley is squeezing on Miguel like an anaconda would it's prey. Miguel fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:22 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Billy Riley!
