Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Boca Naga!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Johannes Skaft!
The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Colin Fray and Ryoma Takatsuka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Skaft keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Skaft tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Naga counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Naga's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Skaft keeping moving, preventing Naga from controlling successfully.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Naga accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Skaft is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Naga is controlling him.
Naga drops back looking for a leg! Skaft is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Skaft manages to kick Naga off! Naga jumps back into Skaft's guard.
Naga working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Naga slips nicely into half guard.
Naga is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Skaft pushes Naga off, looking to escape but Naga dives into side control. He's locked up a kimura now - that was fast! He's cranking on it and Skaft is forced to tap! The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Boca Naga!
A very excited looking Boca Naga made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
