Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

9 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Daniel Goncalves!
The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Luis Engracia and Felipe Paraventi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rios misses with a few strikes there.
Rios lands a nice hook to Goncalves's body. Goncalves takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Rios throws a nice looking combination but Goncalves bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Rios keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Rios throws out a powerful jab.
Rios scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Rios throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
A right-left combo lands from Rios.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Rios will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Goncalves will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Rios fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Goncalves on the side of the head.
Rios misses with a few strikes there.
Rios scores with a jab to the head.
Rios looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Rios closes the distance and lands a one-two.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Rios looks to land a combination. Goncalves sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Goncalves is looking to clinch but Rios is avoiding it.
Rios lets his hands go wild with a nice combination. Left! Right! Uppercut! Spinning backfist! Goncalves goes down and covers up as Rios starts wailing on him! The ref watches the action closely before stepping in and putting a stop to the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:15 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Bam Bam Rios!
