Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Bruce Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alexander Valentine (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lee's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Dragonfly by Shaman's Harvest. On his way into the cage it seems that Bruce Lee has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Bruce Lee seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
38 - 16 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Bruce Lee! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
32 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Alexander Valentine! The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Chris Edwards and Andrew Berry.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lee walks into a jab. Lee thuds his right hand into Valentine's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Valentine takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Lee avoids a low kick by using good footwork. Lee throws a head kick but Valentine moves out of range.
Lee swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Lee scores to the head and body with a nice combination! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Lee, right into the meat.
Lee throws a sloppy head kick and Valentine counters with a single leg into guard. Lee didn't expect that. Lee is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Valentine wants to pass the guard but Lee is keeping the position. Valentine trying to control the position from guard on top but Lee is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's one minute gone in the round. Valentine looking to pass the guard. Valentine stopping the sweep attempt from Lee. Valentine trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Lee has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Valentine off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. Valentine looking to land some kicks to the body here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Valentine looks to score with a jab to the body but Lee is just out of range. Valentine scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. A telegraphed right hand from Lee misses the target. Valentine scoring well with a low kick there.
Lee goes for a high kick. It partially lands. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Valentine. A solid leg kick lands there for Valentine.
Lee avoids a low kick by using good footwork. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Lee connects with a single shot there. Lee takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Valentine scores with a jab.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Valentine fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Lee has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Valentine looks to throw the jab but Lee is out of range. Lee throws a head kick but Valentine moves out of range.
Valentine connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Valentine blocks a jab. Lee throws a body kick, spinning off balance and Valentine counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Lee is looking to improve his position.
Valentine is trying to control. Lee wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Lee has hold of Valentine's hands but Valentine slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Lee keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Valentine missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Valentine not landing any meaningful shots this time. Lee is staying active underneath Valentine, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Valentine has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Lee avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Valentine. Lee slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Valentine stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Lee swivels though and keeps the full guard. Lee keeping moving, preventing Valentine from controlling successfully. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Alexander Valentine dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Lee fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Valentine manages to avoid it. Nice body punch from Lee. Valentine walks forward, straight into a front kick from Lee. Lee misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Valentine.
Valentine misses with a looping right. That kick from Lee tenderised Valentine's leg. Valentine is trying to keep his angry face on. Valentine cracks Lee with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Valentine moves out of range of the leg kick from Lee. A low kick from Lee is predictable there and Valentine counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Valentine. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Valentine wants to pass the guard but Lee is keeping the position. Lee is controlling Valentine's posture.
That's one minute gone in the round. Valentine is in close to Lee's body, working some short punches and elbows. Alexander Valentine has got the better of the ground game so far. Valentine wants to pass the guard but Lee is keeping the position. Valentine preventing the sweep. Valentine looking to sit in guard and control but Lee gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Lee tries to stand but Valentine is controlling from the bottom. Lee has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Valentine has control of Lee's left arm, preventing Lee from doing any damage. Lee wants to stand but Valentine has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Valentine lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Lee! Valentine with a couple of short strikes.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Valentine throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Lee because Valentine loaded up on that one. Valentine is landing with some decent strikes but Lee is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Lee wants to control but Valentine is having none of it. Valentine punching from mount but Lee doing a good job of avoiding damage. Lee blocking the ground and pound. Lee is in a horrible position here. Valentine smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
It looks like Bruce Lee has been cut. Valentine lands with some strikes.
That's four minutes gone in the round. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Lee's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. A nice elbow there by Valentine. Valentine looking to finish with strikes here!
