The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A clash of legs there as McBrain blocks the low kick.
McBrain misses with a low kick.
McBrain throws a low kick but it's checked well by Lightfoot.
McBrain misses with a leg kick
and Lightfoot counters with a right hand to the body.
Lightfoot uses good head movement to avoid the hook from McBrain.
McBrain throws a leg kick that is checked
and Lightfoot counters with a thumping low kick.
Lightfoot tries to clinch up but McBrain circles away and keeps his distance.
McBrain lands with a good body shot.
Lightfoot throws a half hearted mid kick.
McBrain shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Good standup being displayed there by McBrain as he connects with a hook.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Lightfoot checks a low kick from McBrain.
McBrain throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Lightfoot fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and McBrain has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

and Lightfoot counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Lightfoot.

McBrain prevents a body shot from Lightfoot.

McBrain blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
McBrain is trying to force a seperation but Lightfoot has the dominant position.

Lightfoot can't find room to land a body shot as McBrain controls the action.
McBrain goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Lightfoot has McBrain pushed against the cage.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
McBrain controlling the action here for a moment.
Lightfoot is pushing McBrain up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
McBrain misses with the head strike.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
McBrain presses Lightfoot against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
McBrain wants to get back to striking at distance but Lightfoot won't allow it.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, McBrain creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
McBrain throws a punch but it's blocked by Lightfoot.
McBrain lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Lightfoot backwards.
McBrain tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Lightfoot's elbow.
Lightfoot blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Lightfoot lands with a light punch inside.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for McBrain.
Lightfoot misses with a body punch.
The referee calls for McBrain to work.

Lightfoot tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Lightfoot lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Lightfoot prevents a body shot from McBrain.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as McBrain takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
McBrain misses with the head strike.
Lightfoot's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Lightfoot swings wildly with an uppercut but McBrain uses good head movement to avoid it.
McBrain lands a left hand that snaps the head of Lightfoot backwards.
Lightfoot stalling against the cage.
Lightfoot can't find room to land a body shot as McBrain controls the action.
McBrain will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Lightfoot up against the cage.
McBrain's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
McBrain listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
McBrain stuns Lightfoot with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
McBrain circles to his right before unloading a perfect head kick! Lightfoot drops to the canvas, hurt badly! McBrain follows Lightfoot to the ground and unloads with a series of strikes that force the referee to step in and end the fight! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Bruce McBrain!
