The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Josh West and Chris Saunders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Backlund tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Backlund fails with a takedown attempt.
Perkovic lands a head kick. Backlund smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
It looks like Bob Backlund has been cut.
Perkovic throws a head kick but Backlund moves out of range.
Backlund takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Perkovic is looking to land body kicks.
Perkovic throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Perkovic throws a jab but it's blocked by Backlund.

Perkovic sends Backlund crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Perkovic is motioning to the referee to let Backlund up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
Backlund is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Perkovic misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Oh Backlund is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Mikhail Perkovic is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Backlund tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Perkovic lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Perkovic feints with a left and delivers a massive head kick! Backlund collapses like a ragdoll! Game over!
