Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ivan Strashko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vann Richerdson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Vann Richerdson was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ivan Strashko!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Vann Richerdson!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Wesley Smith and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Strashko is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Richerdson's half guard.

Richerdson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Strashko. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Strashko connects with a nice short shot to Richerdson's temple.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Richerdson can do anything to dispel that myth.

Strashko wants to take a breather but Richerdson is having none of it.
Strashko is nestled in close to Richerdson, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Strashko lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Strashko thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Richerdson is staying active underneath Strashko, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Strashko has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Strashko winds up and cracks Richerdson with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Strashko looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Strashko seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Richerdson is trying to maintain the position but Strashko is very close to passing his half guard.

Strashko thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Richerdson's head.
Strashko lands a big elbow - Richerdson is out of it! He's waving his arms around but his eyes are closed and he's not intelligently defending himself - the ref has no choice but to jump in and stop the fight! This one is in the books! A TKO win for Strashko!
