Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Homer Jaysimpson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Amin Rubinstein (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Amin Rubinstein will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Homer Jaysimpson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Amin Rubinstein!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Frank Dennis and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jaysimpson with a poor takedown
and Rubinstein counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Rubinstein ducks down and throws a hook to the body.

Rubinstein moves into the clinch.
Rubinstein creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Jaysimpson's defenses.


It looks like Homer Jaysimpson has been cut.
Jaysimpson can't get the takedown.

Jaysimpson has hold of one of Rubinstein's legs. Rubinstein is fighting the takedown attempt but Jaysimpson gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Rubinstein looking for a sweep. Not yet Rubinstein, not yet.
Rubinstein is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Jaysimpson throws a big elbow that misses.

Rubinstein really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Jaysimpson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Rubinstein has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Jaysimpson is working away from the top position though.
Rubinstein wants to improve his position but Jaysimpson is controlling well.
Jaysimpson is looking to take a break and control but Rubinstein is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Jaysimpson not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Rubinstein has hold of Jaysimpson's hands but Jaysimpson slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Jaysimpson looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Jaysimpson is looking to advance position but Rubinstein won't allow it.
Jaysimpson is keen to just control but Rubinstein is a slippery customer.
Jaysimpson is looking to stall here but Rubinstein recovers full guard.
Jaysimpson is in close to Rubinstein's body, working some short punches and elbows.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Jaysimpson wants to pass the guard but Rubinstein is keeping the position.

Rubinstein is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
Rubinstein is pressed up against the cage. Jaysimpson has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Rubinstein down to the mat. Rubinstein avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Rubinstein comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
Rubinstein lands a good knee to the midsection. Jaysimpson won't want to take too many of those.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Jaysimpson might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Amin Rubinstein hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Rubinstein has the Thai plumb, controlling the head nicely. He loads up with a big knee to the head and Jaysimpson goes down! Rubinstein pounces into side control - this one could be over soon!

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Amin Rubinstein showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

and Rubinstein holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Rubinstein is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Jaysimpson's shoulder. That is not cool.

Jaysimpson with a lazy takedown attempt
and Rubinstein cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Rubinstein closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Jaysimpson closes this distance looking for a takedown but Rubinstein circles away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Homer Jaysimpson. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Jaysimpson shoots and misses
letting Rubinstein counter with a right hand.
Rubinstein has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Jaysimpson drops his hands for a split second and Rubinstein immediately capitalizes on the opportunity by smashing a powerful hook into Jaysimpson face, sending his mouthguard sailing through the air, much to the delight of the crowd. Rubinstein follows up with a right hand that knocks Jaysimpson into next week. He's out cold and this fight is over!
