Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mark Ramos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michael Shanks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shanks is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Dethklok - The Cyborg Slayers. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Mark Ramos!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 9 - 0, fighting out of New York, Michael Shanks!
The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Thiago Cunha and Seu Braga.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shanks throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.

Ramos throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Shanks's waist but Shanks gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Ramos off to one side.
Michael Shanks seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Ramos shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Shanks is trying to defend but Ramos finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Michael Shanks hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
