Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jon Trap!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, George Anthony!
The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Jorge Garcia and Chad Campbell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Trap looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Anthony should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Anthony feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Trap on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Trap tries to get out of the position.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Trap has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Anthony can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Trap looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Anthony stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Trap swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Trap wants to sweep but no luck.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Anthony wants to control from the top but Trap keeps moving.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. George Anthony wasn't active enough on the ground.
Anthony looks to land a combination but Trap avoids it well.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Trap shoots in looking for a takedown but Anthony manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Trap's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Anthony will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Anthony tries to clinch up but Trap circles away and keeps his distance.

Anthony drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Trap tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Anthony wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Anthony is looking to take a break and control but Trap is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Trap manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Trap throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Trap lands with a punch from half guard.
Anthony looks winded!

Trap is working for a kimura but Anthony is defending it quite comfortably.
Anthony is looking for a sweep. Trap is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Trap is looking to take a break and control but Anthony is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Trap passes the guard and advances to mount!
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Trap cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Trap raining down hammerfists from mount.


It looks like George Anthony has been cut.
Trap punishing his opponent with strikes.
Trap has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Trap with the ground and pound from mount.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Whack. That's a big, big shot from Trap! Anthony is out cold! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:21 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Jon Trap!
A very excited looking Jon Trap made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
