Jones kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Little Secrets - Passion Pit. Marcos Costa has the better chin. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Costa paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Jones has Costa pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Jones pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Costa tumbling to the mat - Jones dives into Costa's guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Jones is pushing down on Costa's leg trying to pass to half guard. Costa is fighting to maintain full guard but Jones has managed to sneak the leg through.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Jones has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Jones wants the takedown. Costa is fighting it off but Jones persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Costa's guard against the cage.
