Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Juan Makano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Simppa Koivu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Koivu has chosen Pain Confessor - Another Door as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Makano shoots for a takedown but Koivu saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Makano shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Koivu as he jumps to the side.
Koivu darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Koivu drops Makano with a nice combination! Koivu dives into Makano's guard, looking to finish!
Makano is rocked!
It looks like Juan Makano has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Koivu loads up on a big left hand. Makano felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Koivu looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Makano can't hide his disappointment, as Koivu celebrates the victory.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:28 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Simppa Koivu!
