Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Frank Fister! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jackson Colt! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Chris Downing and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! No luck with that takedown attempt from Fister. Colt throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Fister was covering up waiting for the punch and Colt finishes the takedown easily into guard. Colt lands a couple of elbows. Colt decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Fister throws a body punch but Colt moves out of range. Fister pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Colt will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Fister gets tackled into the cage by Colt. Colt maintains the clinch. Colt decides to pull guard. Colt looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Colt manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
That's one minute gone in the round. Colt is landing with some decent strikes but Fister is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Colt is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Fister can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Colt landing shots from mount. Fister is in a horrible position here. Colt smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Colt avoids the attempt from Fister to control. Colt content just to control the position here. Fister in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Colt lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Fister hang on? This has been an exciting period of action! Fister wants to hold on but Colt pushes him away. Fister takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Colt landing strikes from the mount. Colt unloading with bombs! Colt landing strikes from the mount. Colt has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Fister swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing. Colt landing strikes, looking to finish! Colt raining down shots from the mount! Colt has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Fister's face.
Colt putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Colt looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Fister is rocked! Fister on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Fister tries to get out of the position. Colt scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Fister?
Oh Fister is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Colt is in full mount looking to finish with strikes. He lands a big shot, followed by another and Fister goes limp! The ref jumps in to end the fight - a big win for Colt!
