The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sikimic is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Joniec's half guard.
Joniec wants to improve his position but Sikimic is controlling well.
Joniec makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Joniec.
Joniec has his foot on Sikimic's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Sikimic works his way back into a safe position though.
Sikimic got a little sloppy there for a moment and Joniec has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Sikimic has managed to get both his arms back between Joniec's legs - danger averted.
Joniec is looking to cinch up a triangle. Sikimic throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Joniec's body to avoid the submission. Joniec has instead reached around Sikimic's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Joniec arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
