Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
11 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Wolf West! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jose Gusmero! The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Donatello Bradman and Skip Squint.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! West connects with the punch. West moves in looking to clinch but Gusmero pushes him off. West takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Gusmero moves out of range as West strikes. Gusmero defending well as West loads up on a big left hand. West tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Gusmero manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Gusmero scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. West doesn't seem bothered though. Gusmero uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by West.

West moves to clinch but Gusmero breaks away and Gusmero decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in West's guard. This has been an exciting period of action! Hammerfist, elbow! yells Gusmero's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Gusmero has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. West looking for a sweep.
