Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Maxim Wishibalov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Alan Glass and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wishibalov drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Wishibalov wanted to stand there but Leigh had control of the position.
Wishibalov stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Leigh swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Wishibalov will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Leigh kicks Wishibalov off and gets to his feet.

Leigh gets caught napping as Wishibalov dives in and scores a takedown. Leigh manages to retain guard.

Wishibalov drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Leigh manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Wishibalov has Leigh in his guard.

Wishibalov has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Leigh can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Leigh is looking to work some ground and pound but Wishibalov has wrist control.

Leigh drops back, looking for a kneebar! Wishibalov looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Wishibalov looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Wishibalov!
Wishibalov wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Leigh, who protects the arm well.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

A left and a right from Leigh both land. Nice combination.
Wishibalov is trying hard to land a takedown here. Leigh sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Leigh creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.
Wishibalov tries to pull guard but Leigh forces him back to his feet, against the cage.

Wishibalov is trying to drag Leigh to the mat but Leigh just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Leigh is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Wishibalov is nestled in close to Leigh, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Wishibalov rushes Leigh and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Wishibalov shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Leigh as he avoids it easily.
Leigh pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Wishibalov shoots in and drives through. Leigh sprawls well.

A nice combination there by Leigh.
Leigh scores with a hook to the body. Wishibalov takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Wishibalov feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Wishibalov is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Leigh is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Wishibalov wants to stand but Leigh has him controlled and pulls him back into his guard.

Wishibalov tries to free his leg and advance position but Leigh is retaining full guard.

Wishibalov slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Wishibalov has gone for a leg lock! Leigh slips out almost immediately though and dives into Wishibalov's guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Leigh accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Wishibalov is looking for a triangle here but Leigh uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.

Wishibalov is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Leigh off and has taken his back!
Wishibalov has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Leigh's body.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Wishibalov, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
