And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jun Xian Lee!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Gregory Folan and Alec Ball.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A decent looking cross lands there for Oppelaar.


It looks like Jun Xian Lee has been cut.
Lee lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
A big left from Oppelaar misses.

Oppelaar shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Oppelaar prevents Lee from getting back to his feet.
Lee looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Lee wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Lee wants to stand up but Oppelaar is controlling him.
Oppelaar loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Lee wants to stand and escape but Oppelaar is having none of it.
Oppelaar wants to control from the top but Lee keeps moving.
Oppelaar trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Oppelaar postures up in Lee's guard and throws a big left but Lee blocks it.
Oppelaar wants to pass the guard but Lee is keeping the position.

That's one minute gone in the round.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Oppelaar accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Oppelaar with a flurry of punches that miss.
Oppelaar is stalling in the full guard.
Lee is trying to keep Oppelaar in close.
Oppelaar wants to control from the top but Lee keeps moving.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Lee keeps Oppelaar at a distance using the push kick.
Oppelaar jabs Lee to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Oppelaar misses with a takedown attempt
and Lee counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Lee feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Oppelaars jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Lee throws out a powerful jab.
Oppelaar drops Lee with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Lee! Oppelaar dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Dennis Oppelaar!
