Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Young Gu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ding Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Young Gu!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ding Lee!
The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Shigeki Sano and Shigeki Fujiwara.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lee misses with a takedown attempt
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Gu lands an overhand right.
Lee shoots for a takedown but Gu saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Gu scores with a nice right hand.
Nice takedown defense from Gu. No joy for Lee on that attempt.
Young Gu has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ding Lee.
Lee takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Lee wants to clinch
and Gu connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Lee misses with a takedown attempt
and Gu counters with a nice leg kick.
Young Gu seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Gu feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Lee looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Gu scoring with some ground and pound.
Gu scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Gu is working Lee over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Gu is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Gu stands up over Lee, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Lee looking for a guillotine here but Gu defends easily.

Gu has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Gu postures up and lands a big shot to Lee's brow.
Gu wants to pass the guard but Lee is keeping the position.
Gu cracks Lee with a solid left hand.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Lee is looking for a triangle but Gu pushes his legs off easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Lee looking for subs off his back but Gu has passed one foot through into half guard.
Lee on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Gu drops an elbow to the side of Lee's head.
Gu working over Lee with some ground and pound. Lee looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Lee is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Gu pulls his head out easily.
Gu is trying to work for a kimura but Lee is defending well.
Gu uses his free foot to push down on Lee's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Lee.
Gu connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Gu with shots to the head and body - Lee looks very uncomfortable down there.

Lee is rocked!
Lee is in a horrible position here. Gu smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Lee is still in real trouble! Can Gu finish him?
Oooh a big shot lands for Gu! Lee is out! The ref dives in to save him from more punishment!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Young Gu!
