Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Artur Grygiel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rolando Souto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Grygiel comes to the cage accompanied by Sobota- Za damski h.... The crowd seem to be enjoying Souto's choice of entrance music: Jorge Quintero - 300 violin orchestra. Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
14 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Artur Grygiel! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
19 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Rolando Souto! The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Anthony Taglia and Bruno Lombardi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Souto closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Grygiel's guard. Souto stopping the sweep attempt from Grygiel. Grygiel can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Souto controls the pace.
Rolando Souto has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Grygiel gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Grygiel tries to land a sweep but no joy.
That's one minute gone in the round. Grygiel working a defensive guard but Souto passes into half guard.
Grygiel wants to get back to his feet. Souto perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Grygiel is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Rolando Souto wasn't active enough on the ground. Grygiel works Souto's body with a nice hook. Grygiel doesn't manage to clinch there - Souto circles away.
Souto fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Grygiel, pushing him back against the cage. Grygiel is trying to maintain a safe position but Souto gets an underhook and turns Grygiel into the cage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Grygiel wants a takedown.
Grygiel is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage. Souto looking to throw knees to the head but Grygiel is blocking nicely.
Souto turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Souto manages to end up in side control. Grygiel looks to move to half guard but instead Souto has passed into mount! Damn! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Souto content just to control the position here. Grygiel tries to reverse the position but Souto maintains control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Grygiel is working hard here to advance position. Souto controlling the pace for now.
That's four minutes gone in the round. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Rolando Souto was stalling too much, according to the referee. Grygiel drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Grygiel postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Grygiel stands up and beckons Souto to his feet. Souto displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Grygiel. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Rolando Souto will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Grygiel throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Souto's waist but Souto gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Grygiel off to one side. Artur Grygiel seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Souto avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Grygiel is trying hard to land a takedown here. Souto sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Grygiel tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Excellent takedown into side control there by Grygiel. Grygiel postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Grygiel is putting a hurting on Souto here, landing some big shots from side control. Grygiel in side control lands a decent elbow. Grygiel is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Souto knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Grygiel throws an elbow but Souto slips to the side and avoids it well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Grygiel working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Souto is pushing Grygiel's head away, looking to escape. Grygiel manages to hold on to the position though. Souto takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Grygiel lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Souto down.
Grygiel looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Souto is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Grygiel has just dragged him back down to the mat.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Grygiel working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. Grygiel tries to score with some ground and pound. Souto controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. Grygiel is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Souto is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Souto is trying to escape and get back to his feet. Souto is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first. Grygiel working the ground and pound. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Souto wants to get back to his feet but Grygiel drags him back down. Grygiel swings around for an armbar but Souto sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Grygiel's guard. Souto has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Grygiel is proving hard to escape from.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Souto postures up.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Artur Grygiel. Grygiel tried to score with a low kick but Souto checks it. Grygiel pulls out of a head kick attempt.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Souto feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Grygiel bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Souto's guard. Grygiel stops Souto from standing up. Grygiel is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Grygiel looking to sit in guard and control but Souto gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Grygiel keeping moving, preventing Souto from controlling successfully. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Artur Grygiel dominated that second round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. And we move into the final round!

Souto avoids a wild elbow strike from Grygiel. Grygiel blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Grygiel is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Souto to keep the fight standing. Souto has Grygiel pressed against the cage, preventing Grygiel from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Souto with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Grygiel has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Grygiel has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Souto uses from the top position. Grygiel keeping full guard, as Souto tries to pass. Souto trying to control the position from guard on top but Grygiel is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Souto manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Souto shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Souto is thwarting Grygiel's attempts to control the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Souto tries to stand but can't do so whilst Grygiel controls his leg. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Grygiel moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Grygiel tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Grygiel shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Souto defends it nicely. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Artur Grygiel. That's going to take a lot out of him. Souto darts in and clinches Grygiel up against the cage. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Souto tries a knee to the head but he's missed.

Grygiel is fighting it off but Souto persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Grygiel's guard against the cage. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Souto ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Grygiel closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Grygiel lands in his opponent's guard. Souto takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Souto wants to stand and escape but Grygiel is having none of it. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Grygiel lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Grygiel makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Grygiel accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Artur Grygiel. I think Grygiel has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
