Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Byron Sanders!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, James Ackerman and William Gold.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some wild striking there from Boyett.
Boyett swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
A nice leg kick lands there from Boyett.
Boyett throws a left that rocks Sanders and follows with a right that sends him tumbling to the canvas! Boyett dives into side control, looking to finish! Can Sanders regain composure!


Sanders is rocked!


It looks like Byron Sanders has been cut.

Boyett decides to stand up, so the ref orders Sanders to his feet.
Sanders is still on wobbly legs! Can Boyett finish him?
Boyett misses with a looping right.
Sanders seems to have recovered his senses.
Sanders shoots in but no luck this time.

Boyett moves into the clinch.
Boyett stalling in the clinch but Sanders improves position.

Boyett breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Boyett does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Sanders has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Boyett.
Trent Boyett is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Sanders slips a jab and a cross from Boyett.
Boyett scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Sanders fails with the takedown.
A combination from Boyett does no damage.

Boyett misses with a series of wild punches.
Boyett throws a right hand that Sanders ducks under and follows up with a left that Sanders also avoids with ease.
Boyett rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Sanders moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Sanders avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Boyett swings for the body but Sanders moves out of range.
Boyett circles away from the clinch attempt.
Boyett misses with a jab, cross combination.
Boyett lands a nice shot to the body.
Sanders shoots in for a double leg but Boyett sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Sanders uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Boyett.
Boyett will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Sanders shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Boyett but Boyett pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Sanders tries to close the distance and clinch up but Boyett swats him away and circles back towards the center.

A jab-cross combination lands for Boyett and sends Sanders crashing to the mat! Boyett follows him down to the mat - Sanders regains half guard but he's not out of trouble yet!

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Sanders is trying desperately to improve position.
Boyett tries to control but Sanders wriggling away.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!


Boyett throws a series of punches but Sanders avoids them all with ease.

Sanders moves out of range of the body kick.
Boyett looks to land a right hand but Sanders moved out of range.
Boyett misses with a series of wild punches.

Boyett is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Sanders looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Boyett with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Sanders is pressing down on Boyett's thigh, looking to free his foot. Boyett is holding on for now.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Sanders lands a nice short elbow.

Boyett is trying to maintain the position but Sanders is very close to passing his half guard.
Boyett is looking to escape.

Sanders not landing any meaningful shots this time.

Boyett keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Boyett wants to control but Sanders is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Boyett is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Sanders drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Sanders looks up at the clock and then as Boyett takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Sanders smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Boyett tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.

Boyett is looking to improve his position but Sanders isn't that keen on the idea.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Byron Sanders comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
