Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lutan Garena (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Charles Wayward (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Charles Wayward!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Hirohito Nitta and Ren Mimura.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Garena throws a big shot that misses.
Wayward is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Wayward misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Garena.
Garena shoots in looking for a takedown. Wayward tries to sprawl out of it but Garena keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Wayward manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Wayward clinches with his opponent.
Garena is trying to drag Wayward to the mat but Wayward just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lutan Garena. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Wayward drops down looking for an ankle pick but Garena pulls his leg out and moves away.
Wayward changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Garena tries to avoid it but Wayward manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Garena to the ground. Garena escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Garena fails with the takedown.
Garena shoots in for a takedown but Wayward shows good takedown defense.
Wayward tries to score a power double leg takedown but Garena sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Wayward somewhat.
Lutan Garena seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Wayward gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Wayward controls Garena momentarily but Garena frees himself.
Garena trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Garena thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Garena gets to his feet. Wayward looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Garena will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Garena gets a double leg takedown into Wayward's guard.
Garena wants to control from the top but Wayward keeps moving.
Garena slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Garena decides to stand back up.
Wayward scores with a nice strike.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Wayward will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Garena looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Wayward!

Garena tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Garena has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Garena has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Wayward is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Garena yanks on the arm and Wayward is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Garena.
